We have just returned from a few days spent at Sun Lagoon Resort and very much enjoyed the time in the apartment we stayed in. We found the resort very clean in every respect and enjoyed the split levels with balcony and kitchen facilities . With daily temperatures around 33 degrees celsius we found the air conditioning unit kept the apartment very cool . Swimming pool , spa, sauna and bar b que excellent .Resident Manager Joanne most helpful and we will return to this resort .

“An affordable paradise!”

My family have been coming to Sun Lagoon every January for the past six years and - in short - we LOVE it!! Our apartment is on three levels with three balconies and there is plenty of room to have friends and extended family come up and visit from Brisbane. We love the views from the balconies over the lagoon and pool. We love the location - an easy walk half way between Hastings Street and Noosa River. But most of all, we love Joanne and Warren, our very accommodating hosts, who always go out of their way to make us feel welcome. Great pool and really gorgeous toddler pool. We plan to go back to Sun Lagoon every January for as long as we can board a plane!!!!

“"Fantastic Family Holiday"”

We have just returned home from a fantastic family Noosa holiday. This is the 2nd time we have stayed here. This time we stayed in apartment 25. This apartment has been renovated & is very spacious. We found the apartment to be clean, nicely furnished and very spacious for our family which includes teenagers & a younger child. Facilities include pool, wading pool & spa which were kept very clean. The complex appears well managed by Joanne and nothing was ever a problem (a lovely woman) who made our whole family feel very welcome. This complex is well located a 10-15min flat walk to Hastings St (bus stop available across the road). We will stay here again for sure! Thanks Joanne :-)

“value for money, fantastic location perfect atmosphere”

We returned to noosa sun lagoon for the Xmas/ New year period.
After a very long drive from sydney with 3 kids we please to arrive at noosa sun lagoon.

On arrival we were greated by jo and directed to apartment 29, a three bedroom apartment on the top floor on the waterfront. The apartment is very comfortable with a full kitched, lounge, dining, and an outdoor setting on the balcony. (which the birds came to visit every day) There was a washing machine, dryer and a/c. The apartment was clean, fresh and extremely comfortable. A perfect home away from home. We unpacked, set up our christmas tree then we were off to see what we could discover.
Noosa sun lagoon has a huge undercover bbq area with tables. There are 2 pools and a large spa, and also a sauna.

Jo is the manager of the apartments and is always on hand to assist in any way. My husband and I were constantly asking her for directions, advise on good resteraunts, places to explore etc and she was more than happy to help. ( she would even print off maps for us)

Noosa sun lagoon has a casual very relaxed atmosphere. I found that I made some wonderful new friends whilst sitting around and relaxing by the pool. The spa is heated and always a great place to sit and have a chat whilst the kids are fooling around in one of the pools with their new friends too..

Unfortunately this year the weather wasn't always perfect for us during our stay, but that had NO affect on our holiday. My 3 children were playing tennis, swimming, fishing off the jetty and we even caught some mud crabs and cooked them up for dinner. We enjoyed some new years drinks and watched the fireworks from our balcony.
The location of Noosa Sun Lagoon is fantastic. It is in walking distance from hastings street (about 15-20mins, and thats at a casual stroll) On hastings st you can enjoy the cafe's, resteraunts, shopping and beach. In the opposite direction is noosaville also in walking distance to more cafe's and resteraunts. My family particulary enjoyed Maise's resteraunt in noosaville or the yatch club also located in noosaville.
There are a small group of stylish resteraunts directly across the road from noosa sun lagoon and a great little general store for all those little purchases(bread, milk, bacon, eggs, iceblocks etc)

Other local attractions include eumundi markets, australia zoo, underwater world, barramundi fishing park, strawberry picking, jet skiing, boat hire, water ski park to name just a few.

For anyone who wants a perfectly relaxing holiday with a fantastic atmosphere Noosa sun lagoon is a definate to visit. I say this with confidence the staff, the apartments, the atmospehere a+++++ The only problem is - we didn't want to leave.

There is no better reveiw than the fact that people keep returning to NOOSA SUN LAGOON!!!

“Worst holiday ever”

We just returned from Sun Lagoon Noosa and have never been so glad to get to the end of a holiday. We were bitterly disappointed with the apartment (No. 25). It was on the top floor with no lift (very difficult with small children and a pram). The mid floor had no air conditioning and was oppressive in the heat. The apartment was so grotty, it was truly disgusting. Dirst, dust and grime everywhere. We could not use a glass or piece of cutlery without having to wash it first. I paid for a port-a-cot for my littest one and it was covered (literally) in mould and mildew. When I told the manager, she gave me a piece of old yellow foam which looked like a dog had chewed it and was all stained for my toddler to sleep on! Unbelievable. The placemats were mouldy, the showers dirty, one bathroom had shocking stench to it. The A/C in the living area had never been cleaned I don't think and was spewing out grime. The apartment is for 6 people and lounge could only seat 4 but even the 2 seater couch was un-usable. Totally collapsed in middle and under the cushions a sea of old food and dirt.

The whole place made our stomachs turn. We paid nearly $300 a night for it and it was horrid. We took my parents for our family Christmas holiday and it caused such a miserable time for all.

The manager (Joanne) was full of excuses about why things were not right but was not remotely sorry. Had the rest of Noosa not been at full capacity we would have moved and demanded our money back.

To top it off, our pram (worth $800+) was stolen from the building. It was found a couple of days later, down by the river, completely trashed and squashed beyond use or repair. While this was not the fault of the apartment, it certainly made us question the security of the block and type of people who might stay there. We had also heard there had been a couple of other apartments had people (thieves) enter and steal things.

Dear Cordeline,
Sun Lagoon's manager and owners are all very concerned about your feedback. The manager immediately addressed all the issues you identified; the unit now has a new sofa.
The policy at Sun Lagoon is cleanliness and friendly service, so we are sorry you felt unhappy.

Sun Lagoon's 2 and 3 bedroom apartments are all individually decorated and renovated with excellent decor and furnishing. We take pride in their stylish and presentation and comfort. The resort has self-care apartments which means our cleaners clean them before guests arrive, but then after that it is up to guests to take care of the apartment they are renting.

As for security, the resort garage doors, side doors and gates are always locked -the only daytime entry is via the entrance gates near reception. At night, all gates and doors are always locked and a security service monitors the buildings.

Sun Lagoon's managers always go out of their way to be friendly and to help guests in any way possible. Many of our guests come back again and again because they love to stay at Sun Lagoon. We would welcome you to return for a happier stay in the future.
