This resort is old and in serious need of some basic modernising. It seems they may have begun some work in the reception area which is a good start but I'm glad I didn't pay full price for our accomodation The rooms are reasonably clean and a 2 bedroom apartment is big enough, although the second bedroom is tiny and the main bathroom was half the size of the ensuite with no mirror and no extras (not even extra toilet paper). The aircondtitioning was noisy and had stale smell about it. On the positive side, the pools are nice, and although we didn't need to fight for a sun lounge, I expect it would be more difficult during peak times. The location is good, not too close to busy Hastings St but close enough to the shops and a 10 minute walk to the beach. I would not stay here again in the near future, but look forward to seeing some reonvations, and maybe reconsider.

I was very worried after reading reviews for this hotel, they just seemed to be getting worse and worse. Our experience was positive. Our room had nice furniture and was clean. Kitchen and bathrooms were older but not too bad. The second bedroom however had a broken blind which meant sun came streaming in early in the morning - this needs to be fixed. I would like to stress that this is a 3 star hotel, we only paid $117 a night for a two bedroom, so I was expecting the worst. However I did not dread going back to the apartment and felt comfortable. The balcony however felt dirty and we therefore spent little time out there. With regards to the location, I don't understand why people complain about the hill, it's really not that bad - and only about 700 meters from the beach. The pool area is good, and we were already aware the the pool bar was closed. A word of advice to management - there are signs on the pool bar and restaurant stating they are being renovated and they hope the work to be finished soon. This is incorrect and misleading. According to staff the bar will never reopen and the restaurant is becoming the reception - just be honest with people. The pool bar is a danger as it is, as there are broken edges exposing raw timber. Perhaps you could turn it into a BBQ area as the current BBQ's are located right next to someones courtyard and you cant help but feel like you are intruding into their private space. Overall our stay was good, I did have a chance to see some other apartments and some were better than ours, and some worse. I think for the right price, and provided you got a nice room you would be happy enough. Just remember it's 3 star!!

I have a three month lease on an apartment in Noosa International and am very pleased. The rooms and the apartment itself are all much more spacious than anything built recently. The two bedrooms and two bathrooms are ideal when family visit and the grand-kids love the two pools and 3 spas. I like the wrap-around balcony off the living room and because the unit faces north, there is all the sun I want on the balcony and in the living room. The location suits me fine - I would rather be on Noosa Hill than on Hastings St and the daily wallk down and up the hill is part of my exercise routine. I can also walk the beautiful boardwalk to the National Park in 25 minutes. A few minutes walk in the opposite direction brings me to Noosa Junction with the cinema, supermarkets, cafes and everything else I need. The apartment was spotlessly clean when I checked in and the kitchen is well equipped. The only thing missing was a CD player so I provided my own. The reception staff are always friendly and helpful. I would recommend this place for a long or short term stay for families, couples or singles.

I had read some pretty poor reviews of this place AFTER I had paid for our stay prior to coming, so was a bit concerned about what to expect. When we arrived I told the manager my concerns, and asked to see our room - no problems. We changed rooms because of bed setup. With two kids (2.5years and 15years) the doublebed bunk wasn't really going to work. We had room 145 which was great for a three star. Clean enough, close to Hastings St., clean lagoon pools and spas. Reflecting on the reviews that were poor, based on our experience they were unfair. It is three star. Hubby and I usually stay 4-4.5 star so are used to a higher standard, but chose 3 star this time cos with kids we could stay longer for a budget price. I wouldn't stay here if hubby was dying of cancer, nor if it was our 25th wedding anniversary. Those two reviewers in particular need to compare applied with apples, and fork out a bit more if they want better.
