My family stayed at Ocean Breeze for 8 nights and I found it to be a very good family oriented resort. I was a bit worried when I read other people reviews before going there however it was all good. First of all location is simply great, close to everything you can imagine in Noosa. Apartments (we had 2 bedroom) are so specious and got all the facilities you need for comfy stay (fully equipped kitchen, laundry facilities, bathroom in every bedroom, two balconies, big table in the leaving area etc). Yes, furniture was a bit outdated but it’s not a 5 star resort so you can’t expect too much from it. However it was clean, beds were very comfy and linen and towels were very clean and they even service your apartment in the middle if you stay 8 nights or more. Other facilities were great as well: two swimming pools surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden that keeping them in the shadow (main one is heated and 1 meter depth everywhere that was great for me and my kids as we used it as recreating area), spa (small though) great barbeque area, small gym (my husband was using it every day) etc. I think that place is value for money as other accommodating on Hasting Street are twice as expensive. The only negative thing I found there is no lift and it got around 4 levels I think. We were on a second level so it wasn't a bigi for us.

Amazed no lift in such a large place and no one able to help carry what we needed. Apartment was ok for us weary travellers. Sand was beautiful Shops nearby to stock up on. Good location

We were surprised that an apartment complex in such a high class area would have apartments that were maintained at a very low standard. Carpet was hanging off the stairs, the air con leaked constantly, the dryer didn't work, tv was poor quality. We were told it was a two bedroom when actually it was a loft bedroom (without a door) and another bedroom on the main floor. Air flow to the loft was poor and those who stayed there were steaming although the bottom floor was cool. I would not recommend staying here until some work is done... Also, there is no elevator and parking is downstairs so don't stay here if you need to use a pram/push chair.

After much browsing on TripAdvisor, I decided to stay at Ocean Breeze for a conference I was attending in Noosa- we were going to book TWO 2 bedroom units. Gt my credit card out, phoned them direct (as on their website it said you would get a cheaper price booking direct). Easy right? WRONG!

The (extremely rude) woman on the phone told me there were no rooms for the time I requested, they were all fully booked out. I said that I could see availability for the TWO 2 bed apartments on wotif.com. She then admitted they may have rooms available, but they were held for travel agents, and said I should ring 7 days prior my stay to see if unsold units had been released. I told her it was for work, and we needed to secure a booking now, not be looking 6 days prior our conference (it was over 6 weeks until this date).
And this is how it went;
"So there's no way I can book the rooms direct with you?"
"No, we have no rooms available"
"But I can book the rooms I can see now on wotif.com?"
"I supose, yes"
"But I can't get this cheap 'direct rate' as you won't allow me to book direct?'
"No we have no rooms you can book direct"
"Would you like to check with your manager and email me about this?"
"No" (then she hangs up one me)

SERIOUSLY- WHAT THE....????

I was ready to book and pay for TWO rooms! I'm not even mad abouut not getting this elusive "direct rate" (seeming a bit like a trick special that might have been too good to be true).... I was most frustrated with being unable to book the room direct. What if I didn't have the internet to book over? I understand cheaper internet rates some places offer, but not being able to book direct is just bizzare. SO RUDE!

And no, didn't end up booking with them (rooms still on wotif lol)
