“Superb lagoon pool. Average accomodation.....average location”
I booked this place because the pool looked great on their web site and, as pools go, it really is superb. It was the highlight and saving grace of what was, really, a pretty average establishment.
Firstly, when you book you need to be aware that the vast majority of the units around the pool (as pictured online) are actually privately owned. The resort only manage a handful of them and you will be very lucky if you can get one.
Our unit was at the back of the complex and looked onto a lake. Not a really picturesque lake. Just a lake with a muddy track next to it. It was nice but not on par with the swim up lagoon pool I’d envisaged.
The units are also very, very simple and have been kitted out pretty cheaply. They offer most of the things that you’d need but, in all honesty, nothing was really done with any flair and the whole place appears to have been furnished after a bulk buy up at Fantastic Furniture.
The overall cheap feeling also applies to the buildings themselves. They are all transportable or pre-fab structures which, if you had it to yourself, may be fine, but when you are sharing with another family (upstairs) noise becomes a problem. Every foot step, discussion or bowel motion from the neighbours was transmitted, with clarity, into our unit. We asked to be moved but, unfortunately, they were fully booked.
We hadn’t been to Noosa before so were a little disappointed to discover that this place really is a bit out of the way. If we go again, we will definitely be moving in towards the French Quarter.
The Noosa ferry terminal is close by and there is a shopping complex (Woolworths etc) across the bridge and left at the roundabout.
They offered WI-FI for a nominal fee but it didn’t work. We tried.
For a big family group who aren’t visiting to see the sights it is probably a decent option if the price is right.
