About an $18 cab fare from the CBD, with some rooms overlooking the freeway and the adjoining river. Overpriced, particularly the parking at $14 a day, but well maintained, with the spacious and well-appointed rooms cleaned and resupplied daily. Also on the positive side is the public transport into the city and to Freemantle (abut 40mins and well worth a visit), but this also takes a bit of figuring out as there is a service only a block from the hotel that is a short trip into the city, but the reception staff are not aware of this and direct guests to one that is about four to five blocks away with more infrequent buses. There is a shopping centre also a couple of blocks away that includes a supermarket, a tavern and a boutique liquor store... essential as the bar fridge prices are outrageous! The continental breakfast, as with the room service is pricey, annoyingly, the breakfasts are not replenished, meaning first come best served and come late then very poorly served. Unless you have a reason to be in Como it is a bit out of the way, but not too inconvenient.
