Stayed one night on way up to the east coast. Room is clean - though small for the 4 of us. We were not given an ocean front room. The penguin tour driver will pick one up from the lobby of motel. A decent place to stay for one night.

Very comfortable rooms and we appreciated the use of free internet in the lobby. Bistro next to hotel is excellent and reasonably priced. Shared laundry facilities for guests were clean and not expensive. Even though this hotel is on the main road, it is set well back and very quiet. Large TV with free cable movies were a bonus. Easy walk to all the attractions.

We stayed the night in an ocean view room, spotted some dolphins from our balcony!
The room looked newly refurbished with nice, calm decor. Queen size (I think) bed, a 2-seater sofa, coffee table, desk and a fridge. Flat screen TV and a bathroom (shower only) with very welcome heat-lamps. The room was extremely clean!!
All in all a lovely place well worth the money. The ladies in reception were very friendly and accommodating, very knowledgeable on things to do in the area. We had originally booked for a two-night stay but since my husband had to cancel his scuba trip due to an ear infection, we cut it short. I was amazed that we were allowed to just cancel our second night at the hotel without having to pay a fee. Again, the receptionist was very friendly and understanding.
Had a meal at the pub which is attached to the hotel, they served standard pub fare which was reasonably priced and quite alright!
I would gladly recommend this hotel and I'm sure we'll return here some day!

Actually a motel, a grey flat building, only 2 rooms on the second floor. Very good situated near the beach and central. The ocean front rooms are at the Tasman highway, but at night there is not much traffic.
We had an ocean front room with a small balcony. The room was sufficiently big, clean, the bed approx 1,50 m wide, the bathroom had just the absolutely necessary, i.e. shower, toilet, wash stand, not much space to put your toiletries. Reception was friendly. The restaurant/bistro (Oasis) near by charged to the room, the quality was good, service okay.
