I had a really great itme here, but it was mostly because of the wonderful people I met and stayed with here for several weeks. The hostel itself is kinda run down and dirty, with an ill equipped kitchen, and bathrooms that get filthy because there is no separation of the shower to the rest of the floor. We told one cleaner about this and he said he didn't care. Rooms dont get cleaned everyday (i guess because the cleaners dont care..) Despite all this I had an amazing time. the location is great, beach and nightclubs and pubs nearby. If service and cleanliness had been better this place would be getting 5 stars from me!

My friend and I stayed at Mooloolaba Beach Backpackers for only 1 night. We stayed in an ensuite bedroom. It was pretty clean, we're happy about that. We met only one staff and she was friendly enough.

We love the location as it's quite near to the wharf and underwater world.

We left early so we didn't have the breakfast. There is a kitchen but the kettles are worn and stained pretty badly. Utensils are not very clean.

Nevertheless, we had a comfortable stay.

We stayed here one night, bed was so much better than YHA beds. But still not a hotel bed quality.
No aircon , but a good fan worked perfectly. Had good service, free toast and coffee for breakfast.
Overall great value. Had some specials like cable wake boarding only $25 for 2 hours. Bargain. Included all hire of gear etc.
Would stay again no problems at all.
Also has a pool and a pool table.

I live here for 3 months while working near by. The place was really awesome to stay at. The staff always went out of there way to help you, whether it be looking for work, booking tours or finding buses etc. Security is very good and any issues are dealt with very quickly. It is a very safe place to stay. The rooms are very clean and the cleaning staff will change your sheets if you request it. Everyone gets together downstairs for drinks, but it always quiets down by ten if you need to sleep. Nice and close to the beach too. There are free bikes and surfboards to hire as well. Free bbq on saturday nights and there is quite often cheap deals going on whale watching etc.
