I travelled with my husband and teenage daughter January 2011, and were visiting several friends in different cities. I was having trouble finding short stay accomodation on-line with 2 rooms (anywhere near friends). I saw this availability on Expedia and, although a little more than we would normally pay, we decided on 'splurging' for the night. All I booked was a 2 bedroom and I'd answered a question re whether we wanted floors 1-5 or floors above that, which I'd answered with 'above'.
Although we expected a lovely place, we were, I think, 11 floors up overlooking the sea with views along the coastline. The 'room' was a tasteful self-contained apartment with full kitchen, laundry, stunning glass enclosed spa in the master bedroom, huge balcony
Everything was provided for a comfortable stay, from hairdryer to laundry liquid sachets. Of course, we had paid for a high standard, but even after the initial surprise, there was no let-down. Everything was clean (even under furniture and on top of high things). Staff were lovely, though we didn't see much of them as we had no needs past booking in and booking out.
We aren't the shopping kind though our daughter is, which is one of the reasons we booked here, but we all found plenty to look at and to buy in the range of boutique shops outside. We had so many choices of different places to eat, from cafes to restaurants with sheltered outdoor eating to irish style 'pub' with entertainment. Didn't even think of getting in the car or ordering in.
It was a little damp and breezy when we were there, but we were able to at least go for a walk along the beach, which is across the road.
Highly recommend this resort. I noted that other reviewers have had experiences where rooms have not been clean, minimum stay, etc. I also noticed that one reviewer suggested the apartments are individually owned. I wonder how this affects individual experiences? I would hope that the management standard would be 'across the board' in such an establishment.
Room Tip: A few floors up to catch the amazing view...or just walk across the road to see it.
