We stayed at he Binalong motel on the way to, and on the way back from Lightning Ridge.
The people could not have been more welcoming and especially helpful, after we got the dates mixed up.
The room was very clean and quite big, there was undercover parking right next to the room ,every thing we needed for a one night stay with our 2 Jack Russell terriers..
We didn't realise until after the first night that the people who ran the motel also had a menu for the guests. The second time we stayed we had dinner and breakfast there, so delicious, can really recommend.
Have no hesitation in recommending this hotel to travellers.

My husband and I were travelling from Victoria to Bundaberg and needed accommodation that would cater for our Staffy who is a very loved family member. While the trip to Goondiwindi was a little out of our way, we had read the recommendation regarding being a pet friendly hotel and gave them a call.

I am so glad that we did and we would highly recommend those people staying with pets to consider going a little out of your way to stay at Binalong. The hotel was quiet, comfortable and the service was welcoming. Our dog was allowed to sleep in the room with us, allowing us and our beloved pet to be well rested for the remainder of the journey. The hotel is situated a short walk to parks and town and it was great to spend the night with our pet in comfortable surroundings.

I was advised at the time of the booking that the room was specifically assigned to people with pets however you would not know that other animals had been in the room.

We would highly recommend Binalong to all people staying in Goondiwindi and would once again stay there with or without a pet.

This is a fabulous PET FRIENDLY motel. The owners are most obliging [and cook great fish and chips]. The position is within one block of the main street, 2 of the great river walk.

The room was cheap, clean and comfortable, with all one needs for an overnight stay.

There is undercover parking. A windscreen brush and bucket of water is provided if you want to wash your windscreen. It's the little things that make this a good place to stay.

But the very best aspect of this motel is the PET FRIENDLY status. I could have my lhasa apso in the room with me. How fantastic is that?
