“Absolutely Fabulous”

We arrived here from a really early flight, our kids were very tired, our apartment was ready so the lovely lady checked us in early. We stayed for 2 nights and even though it rained the whole time the kids still got to go in the pool with waterslide. This place is in a fantastic location, surrounded by rainforest you walk down the track and you are on the beach, park and shops and cafes. Just a short drive or walk on track to main part of Caloundra. Rooms were great, plenty of space, lots of utensils etc in kitchen and 2 courtyards to sit in. I would definitely stay here again great price and owners are very friendly.

“Good locations”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2010

Could just see the ocean from our top floor bedroom. We were traveling with 6, needed 3 bedrooms, so this suited. In-laws stayed there before and preferred a place down the beach, but I thought this was fine, very spacious. Quick (maybe literally 1 minute) gorgeous walk through the rainforest to Moffat Beach.

“middle of the rainforest”

We loved our stay at Raintrees, the staff were very friendly and helpful, the beach was a short walk away and although not patrolled, there was a tidy lagoon for kids to play in. The unit was lovely and clean but we too had the bathroom upstairs by the bedroom, when having a few drinks in the lounge, those stairs got a hammering. The downside is the bird life in the early hours of the morning. It is a rainforest but take ear plugs if you like, they saved us. The walking paths around the buildings were being upgraded but looked lovely, it made it a pleasant stroll through the trees. I would go back again.

“Bloody Hot”
1 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 June 2009

All the rooms don't have aircon and we missed out it was sooo hot i couldnt sleep. The beds were like bricks and the beach out the back is not a patrolled beach and not really kid friendly so we had to travell to Kings beach for the kids safety .We also had a unit with internal stairs with the bathrooms upstairs not great for kids. The pool area was great but had to fight with people for the use of the tables at the bar-b-que ,rude people actually sat with us at lunch hoping we would move out.Even though we had a 3 room apartment only one car park and my mum had to park out on the street .I don't recommend it to anyone

“Great location and a lovely apartment”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 10 June 2009

These apartments are individually owned, so probably a bit hit and miss. We stayed in a two bedroom townhouse and it was very nice, Clean and well equipped. Two small but pretty pools one of which is heated to a lovely temperature. Quiet at night and no tolerance of noise between 10 p.m.and 7 a.m. (which I like). Great for young families/young teens as it's right on the beach and no roads to cross. A family resort, so don't go if you don't like small kids everywhere and wouldn't be suitable for those looking for lively nightlife, Perfect for a short break.
