We stayed here for one night on our way from Canberra to Sydney (the scenic route).
It didn't seem like a 5 star hotel but more like staying in a private home (funny old style furnitures - antique or flea market finds?).
Paintings and a big mix of artifacts all over the place - everything with a price tag on. Private art collection or just a marketplace?
Our executive room included a spa bath (which was nice) and DVD player + flatscreen TV which was also nice. The bed seemed like something my grandmother would have loved and it included electric heat pads - a bit funny (for my generation at least) - but I'm sure my grandmother would have loved those as well.
Much to the owners disappointment we didn't "join them for dinner" (my wife needs asian food) and so cannot comment on the restaurant. Excellent dining was available just down the street near the waterfront. Two small glasses of cognac(?) and some cookies were waiting for us in the room when we came back.
We were travelling with our young son (2 years at the time) and it was obvious and quite clearly expressed at check-in that they didn't appreciate him touching anything in their art collection (or should we call it a museum or marketplace?).
I think this place might appeal more to a customer base one or two generations older than ours.
