We booked the boathouse because we wanted a quite location, our only request was to be able to relax on a private balcony with a view and enjoy a glass of wine or 2 and read my book,
we only had a 2 day break from our busy jobs.
I booked the boathouse on-line because the inclusions read (large private balcony with views over the lake). Just what I wanted.
So when we arrived to find our room opened onto the swimming pool and I could not really see the lake .I was really disappointed, The pool is beautiful and I'm sure this room would suit a family with children . I didn't like the fact that we had no privacy and had to keep the curtains closed because everyone in the pool area could see straight into the lounge and bedroom, So my advise ask for a room on 2nd or 3rd floor if you want a view and privacy. and if your a family with kids and like the idea of being by the pool ask for rooms 105 to 111.
The room was lovely ,and I would stay again but i will book direct with the boathouse to make sure I got a room on level 2 or 3.

This rest stop on our way north from Sydney surpassed all our expectations; what a shame we were committed to moving on as just one night here was not enough. Great views, service and facilities with a hospitable welcome. A trifle more that we usually pay but still good value.

It was the third time last weekend 6 fun loving girls stayed at the Oaks Boathouse apartments. We keep returning because the venue is hard to beat, great value for money, clean spacious apartments in an ideal position overlooking the river. The facilities are great and we took advantage of the pool, BBQ and sauna. The management is always helpful and willing to accommodate our needs, (usually extra wine glasses). Would highly recommend this venue to others and we will certainly look forward to returning again in the future.

We stayed here just for one night and it was lovely. It was clean and comfortable, with views of the lake, and a short walk to shops and cafes. It was too bad the weather was not nicer as the pool area was very inviting. Management were very friendly and helpful. Would like to visit here again, this time for longer.
