We booked this motel the night before we came to mountains and were happy with our choice. Nice, friendly staff, clean and tidy room with all we needed for our short stay.Quiet location, a bit wlking to the Town (10 min).
Would stay again.

We stayed here for just one night in August 2011, and we had a good experience. We visited the Blue Mountains just for one day, and they are wonderful, incredible !! although a little bit cold, 8 degrees celsius... !! but we didn't care, since we were the whole day doing some trekking around the Blue Mountains, so we didn't feel the cold. The hotel is a little bit far away from the town centre, so be sure you rent a car. It is actually a motel, and you have your own room with private facilities and bathroom. It was a little bit cold inside, we just had a small heating machine, and didn't heat the bathroom, so the shower moment was not very relaxing... !! the staff is very friendly, so you feel very safe and comfortable. There is an indian restaurant near the motel, so the night we stayed there we had dinner at the indian restaurant, since it was very cold and didn't want to drive to the town centre. We had a good experience, but be sure you don't have a flight anywhere from Sydney the next day, since you need ages to drive from Katoomba to Sydney, it's so horrible the traffic jam! However, I reccomend this motel if you are looking for budget accomodation and just one night.

Our stay was fantastic!! All of our rooms were a great size and very very clean!!!
The sevice they provided was of the highest standard and made it feel like home.
The Group was very happy with there stay and have said they would go back again.
All in all it was the pick of the bunch.

The Sky Rider in was fantastic from start to finish. We arrived and were greeted by Lyn the owner and operator and she was so helpful and patient with all of our questions about the local restaurants and attractions. The room was a great size, absolutely spotless and offered both heating and air-conditioning as well as the electric blankets which were fabulous. So many times I have stayed in 5 star hotels and received sub standard service and staying in this 2.5 star motel it was nothing less than top notch.

I haven't been to the Blue Mountains before and trawled through all of the places to stay and decided on Sky Rider and glad I did. The breakfast that came with the room was filling and we both went for the cooked dinner in the dining room which was a great start before we headed off to the jenolan caves. Lyn and her daughter mel were the faces of the motel and I cannot fault anything they did and quite the contrary I thought they were the nicest hosts and really made us feel comfortable during our short stay.

I never do reviews though thoroughly felt some nice things need to be said about this family run establishment!
