When you go on a cruise trip to the GBR you can leave your luggage in the hotel if you come back maybe for a night after the cruise like we did.

We stayed here for a couple of nights between a boat cruise. One of the staff seemed sick of us from the moment we arrived (to be fair though, this is typical of a lot of people who work in airlie - they seem annoyed with the tourists). Another guy, however, was really friendly, and even let us park our car there for free while we were on the boat. So that was a bit of mixed bag. However, the room was clean the pool had a great view. So, if you're not too bothered about amazing customer service but want somewhere easy to stay, this is a good place.

If you are looking for a nice, clean, tidy, quite and beautiful place in airlie beach, sunlit waters is where you must go. It`s a little bit up in the hill, but just 5 min walking to downtown. Stewart and Lisa, the owners, are excellent hosts, always helpful, with a smile on their face and trying to make your stay the best stay ever. Great quality price rate, everything looks almost new, simple but with everything that you could need in the rooms. I highly recommend this place and for sure I would come back.

Don't believe a word of the ridiculous review Austr255100 wrote. This is the second time we've stayed at Sunlit Waters and one of the reasons we returned, and didn't even bother looking elsewhere, is because Stewart and Lisa are so friendly, relaxed, helpful and really go out of their way to ensure you have a great holiday. The views are to die for and having the hill to walk up and down suits us perfectly as it enforces at least a bit of holiday excercise. The atmosphere is relaxed and most pleasant. The rooms are spotless and I'm a tough customer to please. Yes this is the tropics (we live north of Cairns) and there are bugs with wings. Deal with it or stay at home. We highly recommend Sunlit Waters if you want unbelievable value for money, fantastic views a central location.
