Having read some concerning feedback regarding cleanliness we were concerned about booking. However we did so due to the position and fantasic pool area that literally overlooks Airlie beach through a wet-edge pool.

We ended up in unit 9, and while the lounges were slightly on the older side, everything else was fine including cleanliness. All the appliances (TV, washer/dryer/dishwasher etc) were very modern.

We are a family of 5, with both ourselves and the kids loving the unit and the pool area. The kids particularly like the visiting Cookatoo's that land on the verandah in the late afternoon.

Assuming unit 9 is representative of the rest of the property I would stay there again tomorrow!

Stayed with a big group over New Years. The hotel was really good. All rooms had stunning island views and were large and well appointed. The pool area is great. The staff were nice and made us feel welcome. Nice and close to the main street. Would stay there again.

We stayed at the Martinique for 8 nights for our 20th wedding anniversary. What a wonderful experience. We found the room spotless with superb views. The pool was warm and so relaxing. The hotel management couldn't do enough to help us during our stay, by booking day trips and other enquiries we had. My favourite experience is the daily afternoon visit of about 15 cockatoos to our verandah. We enjoyed ourselves so much we are going back in 57 days (not that I'm counting) for our 21st anniversary. The only con (if you can call it that) is walking up the steep hill, but it helps walk off all the great food in airlie beach. I cannot recommend this place more highly.

My partner and I recently stayed at the Martinique for 7 nights. We arrived at the reception desk and were greeted by Ash and Lyn, the managers. They were amazing throughout our stay, organising everything and anything that we wanted to do. They were also great at suggesting some of the tours that would suit us.
We than were directed to our room. Going up in the elevator and being able to see the view was absoluelty breath taking. The pool is gorgeous. When you see it the first thing you want to do is jump into it. We spent a lot of time lazing by the pool admiring the view.
Our room was at a very high standard. The beds were very comfortable and waking up to a view like that is amazing. The room had everything that we needed, including cooking utensils for the night that we did not feel like going out.

I would highly recommend this hotel to anyone and everyone of all ages.
