We love everything about Palm Cove- the opportunity to escape the southern winter and enjoy the best restaurants in Australia. You just can't go wrong. Palm Cove Tropic Apartments is a boutique resort and is the perfect place to relax and stay. And if you want to eat in there's a kitchenette and great bbq area.
The rooms are beautifully maintained.
The pool area is quiet unlike some of the bigger places and Wayne and Scott are always on hand to assist. Love it. We try to get back once a year and this time took family. They had a wonderful time.

Just a block from the main street along the beach. This was the best value for money we found in Palm Cove. We had a nice little one bedroom suite. The decor is a bit dated, though in a way that seemed to recur in Australia at several hotels (all light green and pink -- very 90's to my thinking). Having the kitchenette was very nice.

Communal areas:
The pool area was very nice, as was the covered outdoor barbeque and seating area. Lovely place to bring back some drinks (a liquor store is quite close and a general store/convenience store is nearby too).

This is the tropics, so certain things that often freak out hotel guests are quite unavoidable. Adjust your expectations. The hotel staff dealt with it well.

Transport:
You don't NEED a car. Palm Cove is the end of a regional bus line that goes into Cairns. The busses run fairly frequently and it's about a 25 minute trip each way.

Beach:
The beach is very close, as I said. But be aware that for swimming, Palm Cove is not the best town. The area enclosed by jellyfish nets is quite small. The beach is still quite beautiful if you just plan to sit and relax though.

I stayed here on a trip with my parents (my sis and I met them here for a family holiday). We stayed in a 2-bed apartment that was great. A good size for 4 adults and was very clean and tidy. We had a room on the first floor, which was great in that the balcony was private and overlooked the pool. Went swimming every day in the resort-style pool (which was lovely) and the apartments are a short walk from the beach - but nice and private. Would definitely recommend.

We spent 5 weeks here and the service and help that we received from Wayne and Scott was second to none. Everyone is friendly and the rooms are spotless.

We highly recommend this place and we hope to be back very soon.
