We LOVED our stay! We really enjoyed Palm Cove as a destination and we picked well with our accommodations.
Our family stayed 6 nights in early Jan 2012. We took the full 3 bedrooms of our apartment, so each of our 2 kids had a room. After staying in hotel rooms where we were all 4 together in one room, it was such a great treat and the perfect place to relax more than a couple of nights. The apartment is spacious, airy, beautiful and the views are fantastic. A really great shutter system to block the sun and keep the heat out. Used the air conditioning a little, but generally didn't need to.
The managers were fantastic - recommended/organized tours and auto rental, as well as our arrival and departure trips to/from airport. I highly recommend car rental to get around though - far more flexible than tours to take you places and sometimes just easier for basic necessities. The nearest mall is 2km - not far, but in the heat with kids, when you forget things - it seems very far! Some convenience stores nearby too, but not fully equipped. The next mall to really find more requires a car. The public bus service was not running to schedule but it was around the holidays and others said it worked fine for them (schedule on line).
The managers recommended an online grocery service that was excellent. All food ordered (including wine!) unpacked and ready for us upon our arrival!
The pool is gorgeous. The beach is 2 min away and is also gorgeous.
They have the movie channel but not much our kids were interested in (6 and 9 years old). Nearest DVD rental place is at the mall 2 km away - an automatic dispenser that requires your credit card. After that you need to go further (car).
The restaurants in Palm Cove seemed mostly pricey with lots of fried food - we were way better off to buy our own food and eat in. Very enjoyable.
No noise at night.
Not crowded at all.
I very easily recommend this accommodation - the kids loved it too. Very family friendly.

Nothing was a bother to the hosts Jane and Scott. We were welcomed from the minute we arrived. When the gates open you are exposed to a paradise. The grounds are stunning. The room was exactly as the photos on the web page. The room was amazing. It is so handy to be able to rent a car from them. We were able to do plenty of tourist attractions around the area. As a family of four we were very impressed. The pool is so clean and big. I can not rate this property high enough. It was just a wonderful holiday.

We stayed here in September 2008 in a three bedroom apartment with my wife, 4 month old baby and friends with their 6 month old. Everything great about this property has laready been said in other reviews, and we couldn't fault it in any way, other than a fourth bedroom might have been good with the two babies. We absolutely loved the kitchen, the balcony, the location and the pool. Highly recommended!

We stayed in Sept. 2011 and I have to say that the room, service, quality of fittings and the sheer opulance of Sanctuary was outstanding. I am now onto setting up our next holiday for Sept .. and wanting to go back. Easy to get everywhere, the pool is never crowded. You can't hear others in the area. Secure, private and most of all spectacular. Was visited by a kookaburra and a few wallaby's, which entertained everyone. Can't say anything bad.
