“we love it and for sure we will be back”

the room are spacious and clean. The food is wonderful and deserve an Aplus. The real fruit juice for your breafast and the coffee are delicious. Every morning we walked on the beach with a fine sand and beautiful view. The hotel is quiet and friendly. The manager has always some kind words and wants to know if everything is at our convenience. You feel very relax and well taking care of. We will be back.

perfect location if you hate huge ressorts. the hotel has nice little bungalows, very well decorated and very spacious. we had an extra bed for my son and we still had plenty of room to move!
the big hit is the open roof bathroom, which is in some way nice, in other way a lack of noise privacy...
the hotel direction is very friendly and helpfull. always ready to give you some advise about where to go.
the beach is narrow but the lanscape is a dream. have you ever looked at some postacards where coconut palms lay down and softly caress the turquoise blue water of an empty beach? well this is what you have in front of you when you are at bahia las ballenas. on a postcard dream!!
I would definitly go back there and highly recommand this hotel if you want some independant vacations.
center of village is just 5 min with the car or ATV. the village is full of restaurant and very active.
have fun, and enjoy the beautifull landscape!

“Great place for a relaxing away from civilization”

Great hotel for a few days in couple. 10-15 small bungalows on a beautiful beachside. Extremely calm. Bring a good repellent if you're going in november, moskitos are violent here.

“Beautiful location, good restaurant - count your change!”

It's not the first time i have eaten in the restaurant and had a problem with the change.
I may not speak Spanish and they may not know me but i do visit Las Terrenas often and i resent being short changed! Oh, and they know it as when you call them over to discuss it they have a problem hearing you. Maybe if they hire honest servers I'll go back but it has left a bad taste in my mouth!

“Great Property, Great Beach, and Good Dinning”

We landed at Hotel Bahia Las Ballenas on our honeymoon wandering around Samana. We had no reservations and ended up with an oceanfront room. The beach is palm tree lined and post card material literally steps from our room. The little bungalows were setup fantastic included a small deck on the front. The pool facilities were enjoyed each afternoon after a day in the sun, sand, and salt water. The restuarant service was great and we enjoyed our time with all the other travelers. Mainly French customers, but we met some of the nicest French people in our lives traveling as Americans. We even ended up renting 4 wheelers and spending the day with some other French expats rumbling to Playa El Valle for the day. Overall, great property, good service, and quality clientele.
