This was a great little Bed and Breakfast. My husband and I stayed there while our 8 other family members stayed at Grand Bahia on the other side of town. This was a great place for your money. You have to understand about Las Terrenas when rating this B & B. As far as it goes, this is a great little place. Las Terrenas is very poor and run down, but Hotel La Tortuga is very well kept! There are 10 rooms and they are nice and everything is kept very clean. They would come and clean our room everyday while we were eating breakfast. The breakfast is a wonderful little set up of fresh fruit, eggs, toast and great juice (the passion fruit was extraordinary!!!!). There is a guard out front at night to let you in (we rented a car). It is right down from the beach and right close to town. The La Salsa Restaurant is great for late night Pizza! We stayed here for the cost savings and the idea of being right in the middle of all the action, and this was a great choice!
