“Wonderful peaceful stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 4 May 2011

The Marco Polo Hotel in Gradac is a lovely place to stay. This boutique Hotel is very well appointed with very comfortable public areas and a very fine restaurant. Our stay was made particularly special by the caring and charming staff throughout the hotel. The village is small and it was quiet in April but sitting on a fine spacious balcony overlooking the Adriatic Sea is now a special memory for all my family. Recommended as an extremely well run and modern hotel that caters for couples or families.

“I COULD NOT FAULT IT”

The hotel is an easy 2-3 hour drive from Dubrovnik. The hotel is on the coast in a picturesque village. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The food was fantastic and the pace of service was just right. Breakfast included fruit, cheese, cold meat, yogurt, omlette, bacon, cereal, fruit juice etc, etc, etc. It is set in a fantastic location by the crystal clear Adriatic.

WE spent a wonderful week at Marco Polo hotel, the terrasse for breakfast and dinner just by the seaside, makes you feel in paradise ! A small hotel, makes you feel at home, like family. Gradac is a cute village for relaxation but also very well situated as you may visit larger cities like Dubrovnik and Split, even travel into Bonia.

“Wonderful hotel, incredible views with lovely staff.”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 31 August 2010

Arrived on August 1st at 10.30 p.m. We were shown to our room - the best in the hotel - a suite with a large terrace with lovely comfy furniture.
The receptionist was wonderful and knew so much about the area she is a credit it to the hotel.
The hotel lounge was comfortable with a good libray and a really pleasant area to sit in.
The 2 ladies who serve breakfast are amazing - always cheerful, polite and nothing too much trouble - first day we moved tables 3 times! (too hot, then a wasp or 2!). The breakfasts were cooked to perfection! They always found time to chat and made you at ease - their English is incredible.
The evening meals were first class and the food well cooked with tables practically on the sea shore.
Just be aware that the access road to the hotel is not open after 7.00 p.m.

“Simply the best place to be on your vacation!”

Beautiful, homey, clean and well furnished rooms, perfect location, amazing food in the restaurant, and of course the wonderfull and kind people that work in this fantastic hotel.

I have been in many places and stayed in many hotels, but NONE of them made me want to come back to them, the way Marco Polo did. The fact that we returned this year again, to Marco Polo, and hopefully will come again next summer, should say it all!
Mostly what makes this hotel different, is the TRULY very helpful and good employees. Great care was taken to who was hired and has made an imprint on us that places like Marco Polo are even possible.

Last year, my boyfriend and I, had only a little taste of the hotel, and didn't have time to stay as long as we actually wished, but this year we stayed longer, and are all ready planning to return next year, hopefully, even longer.

Absolutely no one, could possibly leave that hotel, and feel unsatisfied. It is just not possible.

Thanks to you all, at Marco Polo hotel!
