My partner and I found ourselves in Tennant Creek at around 8 p.m. one night while driving through the NT. We really wanted to stay in town as we were tired of dodging kangaroos, but we were sketched out by the hostel and got a chilly reception at the Desert Sands Motel and a downright hostile one at the Tennant Creek Caravan Park. So, when we went to the Eldorado and were greeted warmly by Chris, we were pretty happy just to meet someone friendly. The room rate was a little more than we were hoping to pay, but Chris was able to discount it a bit by enrolling us in the Golden Circle program. Our room was quite spacious and clean with a big bed, flat-screen TV, DVD player (with DVDs available from reception at no additional charge) and refrigerator. Some bathroom fixtures were a bit outdated, but everything worked just fine. We had a really nice, comfortable stay and would definitely stay here again should the need arise, but we probably won't aim to stay in Tennant Creek again any time soon.

Stayed for one night. Had read reviews and was very nervous but pleasantly surprised. Staff friendly, lovely big room with two bunk beds, single bed and double bed. Basic standard but sufficient for our one night stay. Bathroom sink taps could have done with a better clean. Otherwise lovely to have plenty of room to spread out.

having stayed at the eldorado 4 times in the past 12months,i have found the new owners jason and his family,very friendly and helpful,and the rooms being updated each time i stay thereand,the buffet dinner at the restaurant each night very popular with the guests.

Eldorado Motor Inn - Tennant Creek

Stayed here in Tennant Creek in April 2010 as part of the stay with contiki tours.
Overnight stay onroute to Alice Springs for the next day.
A basic motel for this town, as it was probably the nicest motel in the entire town. Very basic but good area. Had a basic but good room and comfortable beds.
Lots of parking available here and a nice pool is out in the middle for everyone to use. The buildings are quite clean and very accessible to main part of the town.

Had a good restaurant to which we ate a great buffet of meat and salad. As well breakfast was very great as well here as well. The layout and location was quite decent and quite attractive even though it was kind of basic standards.

I would stay here again if i was in town. I would recommend this place for backpackers or singles. Anyone who is travel on a tight budget, this is the place to stay. As well , i would suggest for couples and families as there is a good pool for the children to play in.
