The older reviews are really bad. But the newer ones are good. This is thanks to a new management. I have stayed there for more than 4 weeks and it was an amazing place. The new management put a lot of effort in it to make it a better place and they were quite successful. It have good equipped double rooms and 3 and 4 bedrooms. Often with a fridge and a TV (probably now all of them). The pool area is very nice (but the water was pretty cold) and the kitchen is well equipped as well. The staff is friendly and they help were they can. If it is their duty or not. (one helped me to find a job). One more thing, Katherine in the dry season is a very good place to find a job. Meanwhile I worked I got 3 new job offers. Workseekers forget to go to Darwin, stay in Katherine.

After traveling around a Australia for the past 6 months, this would have to be the worst place I have stayed. Nothing is clean, the staff are more concerned about facebook & sending texts. I don't mind ruffing it, but I would expect this to be hostel at least clean.

The location is great, close to the shopping center, was looking at staying a few nights, ended up staying at a local motel.

It is a shame because it would have been a great place to stay a few years ago, staff aren't interested in helping.

Avoid this hotel.
The price is about 90$ for a room without air conditionner (and somehow it's better seeing the age of this machine). You share the room with many cockroaches... The reception is holding by a girl who don't care about people. For 10$ more you could have a proper room and have a good sleep ! Don't hesitate and avoid this one .
Besides, the swimming pool seems bigger on the pictures...

My partner and I stayed here out of necessity and afterwards reflected that we would have preferred to spend the night sitting up at the 24 hour McDonald's in town. We arrived in Katherine at around 9 p.m. after deciding we didn't want to stay at the awful-looking Mataranka Homestead Resort, and the one good thing I will say about Palm Court is that the manager on duty was very flexible about accommodating our late arrival. As for the hotel itself, our room was dirty and had bugs, and the whole place seemed more like a halfway house than a motel. At $70 for a double room, this was probably the worst value place I've ever stayed. I would sleep in my car rather than stay here again...yuck!
