This motel offers standard double rooms for 69$ per night (around 42 € in 2006) which is a rather low price even if not exceptionally low considering that Katherine is a very small and not attracting town. Everything in this motel is very basic, looking not so nice, rather old and particularly never really 100% working. You enter the reception and nobody is there, you have to ring and wait. The room had all the features you may require, but: the bed rug had some holes, the balcony was extremely small, the chairs on the balcony were very dirty, under the entrance door you could slide almost one hand, the furniture was very basic, the bathroom looked very old and was not very clean, the air conditioner seemed from the Second World War, with no remote control, very noisy, very unefficient and constantly dropped water on your head if you tried to exit on the small balcony. The lady at reception was very friendly and tried really her best to make us as confortable as possible, even showed us different rooms. We asked for an hairdrier which she immediately provided, but also this instrument was working very bad with air almost cold. I guess you get the picture.
