Warwick House is exquisite in design and nature. It is elegant and absolutely gorgeous. It is abounding in history and grace. The history of the House is as magnificent as its structure and when we arrived, we didn’t want to leave. Warwick House really is a must stay in Nelson.
My husband and I stayed at Warwick House for 2 nights of our 16 night stay in NZ. We were on our honeymoon and this most beautiful B&B was indeed the most impressive and elegant and absolutely gorgeous stay that we had in the whole of the South Island, in fact, the whole of NZ. The pictures on the internet sold us, as it was both intriguing and grand and appealed very much to our taste. Being newlyweds and young, we definitely had a budget for our honeymoon. We saw Warwick House on the internet and thought it’s a little more expensive than every other place we have booked but it’s our honeymoon, we deserve 2 nights somewhere special. And somewhere special we indeed got with Warwick House. Absolutely divine and the price you pay for it, for a little bit of history and a whole bit of ‘wow’ is definitely worth every cent you pay. And honestly, with the size of the room, the personalised and friendly service Nick showed us, the historical and magnificent building that it is, the price you pay is very very reasonable. In fact, we thought Nick and his wife could charge a whole lot more than what they do and we wondered why not? We figured it out...it’s almost as though Nick and his wife are not in it for the money, they are in it for the sheer joy and pleasure of sharing this most beautiful historic building with the world. That is their reward almost. How amazing is that. We were so impressed with the value for money that we got here.
The breakfast provided was lovely (home cooked muesli) and the cookies and milk upon arrival made the stay even sweeter. Nick talked us into experiencing the Abel Tasman (only because we wanted to stay at Warwick House and not leave as it was so beautiful to the eye and we were staying literally in a castle! something we may never again experience) and thank you Nick that you did so, because this was one of the highlights of our honeymoon, just when we thought Nelson couldn’t get any better (after Warwick House), just a short drive away we entered the Abel Tasman, a truly beautiful picture and experience that we will never forget. Nick was extremely helpful and pointed us in all the right directions for meals, shopping and admiring the great region in which Nelson lay.
Thank you to Nick and his wife for making this stay one of the most beautiful and memorable ones of our honeymoon and time in NZ. Warwick House is a credit to you and all those before you who has added to its character and elegance. And thank you for the modest price you charge for such a real and unforgettable taste of NZ history.
All the best.
Joshua and Angela
