We got a nice room for our family of 5. Not the newest of hotels but very comfortable, clean and friendly staff.

We went back because of our first visit and have to say even though we couldn't get our room of choice we were more than happy with room with the spa.. Plenty of parking and handy to where we needed to be..The main thing I like is it is clean!!

We were looking at a few other motels before we stumbled upon this piece of paradise in Oamaru and it turned out to be awfully good. Layout of Lodge was good with plenty of wide parking spaces. Room offered to us was fabulous, very spacious, comfortable with 505 channels on Sky TV. Our host, Tracey was friendly and gracious, even offered us free wi-fi for the night. Most motels impose a charge depending on usage. Even though she has a restaurant within the premise, she recommended us a Japanese Restaurant called Midori which turned out well. We stayed one night on 3rd October 2011 but would highly recommend this paradise to travellers passing that way.

I stayed in one of the newer rooms upsatairs. I was on my way back to Dunedin from Christchurch and got snowed in. I had to stay 2 nights so spent a lot of time in room. It is very tasteful, clean, comfortable and pleasant. Awesome shower.
Free wireless but you have to ask as they don't advertise it. Book on line and you'll get it cheaper. I asked the owner the best price when I had to stay a second night. I looked on wotif.com and it was $20 cheaper than she quoted me which I thought was in bad taste given the circumstances. (Snowed in)
Would stay again though.
