“Convenient to airport”

We stayed there for one night after arriving at the airport and not wanting far to travel. A slight mix up with our booking was soon resolved. We had booked a one bedroom unit and the main room contained another bed (single), table & chairs, and a kitchenette. However there was very little storage space.

The bathroom had a shower cubicle. Unusually the shower pressure and temperature is controlled by a single lever which is rotated clockwise. The pressure is preset, however it is necessary to rotate the lever through the cold water sequence when switching the shower on or off. One disadvantage of these showers is the lack of movement on the shower head which makes it difficult to lather up without turning off the water. These systems waste a lot of water.

The motel offers free WiFi and whilst our room was not the farthest away from the office, the signal was too weak to be useful.

We used both the restaurant and bakery in the local shopping parade (which is a short walk away). We were not impressed with the restaurant but breakfast in the bakery was OK.

The room was clean and the staff were friendly.

Hi there. Thank you very much for your review and comments. They are helpful to us and customer service is our top priority.

We have found that some wireless devices are not getting a good Wifi signal in certain parts of the complex. We are going to look at boosting the signal by installing extra access points. Watch our facebook/twitter page for an update.

There are a number of dining options less than 5min walking distance but we recommend Indian Express (Indian + Chinese) or the Holiday Inn (a little more up-market, also do a great buffet breakfast). Bar & Baa is not bad too. BakeHaven cafe is nice for lunch and breakfast.

I am a bit confused about your comments about our showers because all of our rooms seem to have the same shower head and controls, and both the water pressure and temperature are easily independantly adjustable and the shower head has adjustable direction too. We have never had any complaints about our showers, water temperature or pressure before.

“Close to airport. Thoughtful staff.”

It’s a great, inexpensive place to stay. We stayed there for just one night while we were in between holiday apartments. The proprietor, Ramesh and his wife, are wonderful people. You can tell they take great pride in working hard and maintaining a spotless hotel. You can tell they have thought through what’s important in a hotel room, right down to the kitchenette and comfortable linens. We can’t recommend this hotel enough.

“Gone downhill”

We have stayed here a number of times and have had positive experiences but after the last time, have had enough.

Its a fine motel however the following are dealbreakers for me:

No extra blankets for the bed in winter
One tiny under desk style fan heater
Uncomfy bed
Not enough blankets on bed

Having to drag luggage upstairs and no restaurant is also a pain, although we knew that.

They also lost our car in their parking lot. After it was located after half an hour, it was right at the back behind someones van which had a flat battery. It took over an hour to get the car back when we needed to get home to an appointment. This is all just bad luck however the couple (I think were motel minders maybe) had a few terse words to each other when deciding how to get the car out which I found to be inappropriate.

Hi there, sorry to hear your experience was not quite up to standard. As the new owners of the motel, we take all feedback seriously and customer service is our priority.

All rooms should have an extra duvet and/or extra blankets located in the closet, but we will try to make sure of this. We also have extra blankets available at reception on request. If you are worried about winter temperatures, there is the option of booking one of our new air-conditioned "Superior" rooms for just a slightly higher room rate.

Our staff are always on hand, 24 hours, and are happy to help with luggage if you have a room upstairs.

“Perfectly positioned for the airport/travel.”

Close to restaurants, clean and tidy rooms, friendly service, and close to the airport. Aside from the road noise, the beds are comfortable and rooms large enough to vege out. For all travelers on a shoe string, this is a good option if you want to start your holiday by getting over jetlag or waiting for your flight the next day. I have stayed before and found this time just as enjoyable.

There have been a lot of trucks rolling through because of nearby construction in the last few months so hopefully this noise will subside soon. We know some of our rooms can get a bit more road noise than others so we will see what we can do about it.

“Rugby ripoff”

Booked for one night which happened to be during the RFC semi finals. Don't know where the US$110 had gone as it was A$300. Room was OK but no a/c and the internet didn't work, Reception said they would reboot but still no connection. No restaurant but go to the Holiday Inn tyhey have good food. A limp letrtuce Caesar salad and a very ordinary pizza later returned and went to bed, whcu was comfortable. Ownership is changing so will not be prejusiced for another visit but.............
