“Value for money”

I confess given the price of this place and the free car parking I was a little concerned as to what it would be like. It was clean and tidy and quiet and the staff were pleasant and helpful. Not flash decor... but given the price it was great and served the purpose of a night's sleep before an early flight departure (and free parking)

“Clean, efficient, great value for money”

This isn't the newest property but it is scrupulously clean, convenient, and the staff couldn't have been more helpful. We stayed one night and left our car there while we holidayed south. They delivered us early to the airport and picked us up promptly when we returned. Great service and very good value for money. We will stay there again. Definitely recommended.

“Raging Music with the added Bugs!”

Stayed here in Dec 2011 and will not return in this lifetime or the next!

The $60 room came with noise (i.e raging party music and fireworks) from the adjoining "residence." The place is hard to find and is in a dodgy part of Auckland where all out brawls occur across the street at 1am! Lock your car and hope for the best...

My 7am flight was made all the better with bed bug bites from the night before! The staff are pleasant, but AVOID at all costs and spend more money on a proper hotel.

In response to comments made by ‘Matt B’ & ‘Travellor444’, we are disappointed that you encountered a problem at the Airport Garden Inn. We take bed bugs & any kind of insect infestation extremely seriously & acted immediately to have the rooms you stayed in treated straight away.
Unfortunately, we were unable to locate your bookings in our reservations system after searching for quite some time, & therefore could not isolate the rooms in question.
However, our Pest Control Contractors have gone through all 55 rooms in the hotel to try & locate the ‘so called’ bed bug problem & we are pleased to report that none of the rooms had any evidence found in them. We have also taken the extra precaution of treating all the rooms for all other biting insects at the same time.
If you would be kind enough to advise us of the name your reservation was made under & the date of your stay so we could pay special attention to the rooms you stayed in, it would be very much appreciated.
You should note that bed bug rashes & itchiness does not show up on ones skin until after a minimum of 24 hours from being bitten & can take up to a few days later to show, so if there was a bed bug problem this should not show until a day or so after you left the hotel. This suggests you may possibly have picked it up from where you had been staying prior to arriving at the Airport Garden Inn.
As you are aware, during the festive season, fireworks & the likes are enjoyed by many. We apologise if you were unable to rest before your morning flight. Our night staff however did not receive any such complaints from hotel guests about noise in the area otherwise they would have acted immediately to call noise control & have any disturbance shut down.
Please be assured that we have the perceived bed bug problem well under control & we hope that we may be of better service to you in the future.

“Two words: BED BUGS”

Don't believe wotif when it says the room is $58 reduced from $130. $58 is expensive for what the motel is! Place is quite difficult to find, the "garden" part of the motel name is a joke, and the motel is located in a dodgy and v. noisy suburb. TV reception is terrible, shower unpleasant. Staff are very nice, and thought room on balance would be ok when I arrived. Changed mind when I woke up in the morning covered in bed bug/flea bites.

This was a great find and as I booked with Wotif, I got an incredible rate of $58 that included 7 nights free parking, which I felt was secure enough...

As other reviews say, forget the old comments about lack of cleanliness, this place is spotless and very comfortable. It is also very quiet, compared to say, Bellavista where I have stayed before, as it's not on main road.

The staff were very friendly, shuttle on time & no glitches.

A great stay for an early flight or getting back late and the parking is a real bonus too.

Would not hesitate statying here & recommend grabbing the cheap rates while you can....as feel they won't hang around, as more positive feedback comes in about the hotel under new management.
