Arrived and was greated by friendly staff who went out of there way to be helpful. The rooms were neat clean and spacious. Location was great as it is close to clubs, shops and over the road from the beach. I have ho hesitation in recomending this motel to anyone and will keep going back l really enjoyed my stay.

Booked in for stay friday night 26/3/2010 for two people,having stayed in many golden chain motels over the years and reading that this motel won the best motel in qld (golden chain) back in 2006 I thought we couldnt go wrong.
We opened the door and there was a smell like damp carpet but we put up with that,then we turned the aircon on it it made a noise like an old DC3 so we turned it off.
I noticed the fridge seal had black mould on it so it hasnt been cleaned for some time.
Time for golden chain to lift there game as there are many motels to choose from and whoever cleans the toilet try using some bleach.

Stayed at this motel after we had a bit of disappointment with the Colonial Log Cabins. We found this in our travel guide and it was a perfect alternative. It was about 10mins from some restaurants and the pub. The rooms were clean and staff helpful. Was able to book our Fraser Island tour from reception and the bus picked us up from the motel. It was also one of the pick up points for the Tilt train link to Maryborough West.
