I booked directly with this motel five months in advance of my intended stay.
They said they wouldn't take a credit card number to confirm the booking, just "phone a couple of days before to confirm".
I did phone two days before and they confirmed the booking was OK.
However when I arrived at about 5:30 pm they said they had no rooms, they had CANCELLED MY BOOKING because I hadn't phoned again on the day of arrival. They claimed they always advise people to do that, but they didn't with me on either occasion I phoned.
After some unpleasantness another motel was found for me, and reception there said that this happens quite a lot with the Best Western Ambassador lodge.
You have been warned ! !
On a positive note, the reception area looked very nice, but that's all I saw.
