The owners are nothing but great new zealand helpfull People! i left my phone in my room, so i rang them up and they sent it out to me the very next day.

they helped us with places to go and eat and places to go and see.

Great clean rooms and always willing to help someone out!

We had alovely time as a family staying here, the 2 bedroom unit was large, clean and just perfect. There is a huge fenced garden and play area for the kids. The hosts are very helpful and sugested lots of activities we could do with the kids. A nice relaxing break had by all. Will return to stay again in the near future.

Hi there , we were intending to stay here last yr around christmas time. When when we arrived after an all day drive I asked if it was ok to use a Bathroom. The lady behind the counter was kind to allow this using there personal toilet whilst my Fiance was looking at suitable cabins for the night.

After finishing Bathroom stop and returning to front counter the Owner "Woman" then described some available cabins saying one was a little run down but avail. We then decided to have a look at suitable other accommodation in Hokitika .

The Attitude from the "Woman" behind the counter turned from nice to disgraceful immediately where she yelled at us "so now you have used our bathroom your not going to stay here!!!! " We replied well with your attitude why would we pay to stay here and walked out to our car.

This is where it turned violent from the male owner now , As I was closing my car door to drive away this guy comes running towards the car then punched the car window very hard and then forced the car door open.
He went right off his block saying how rude we were to use there Bathroom the not stay there ect.......

Never in my life have i experienced such rude and aggressive owners of a Motel who would want your hospitality one would think . If it was a condition to STAY after using there Bathroom i would of happily peed on a tree across the road lol.

Be warned people these owners are horrible people and aggressive we advise to stay away from them and the awful cabins they offer there. We are not the only ones that have advised there aggressive on here so be warned.

A great location for the beach and glow worms - about 10 minutes walk to town. Clean and warm units with a seperate kitchen. The owner is welcoming and helpful.
