While not in the heart of Hokitikia, the Annabelle Motel isn't hard to find - it's right off the main road. The room was clean, I thought the beds were comfy, and Les did a great job of advising which jade stores to go to. He also suggested not missing Sunset Point and the Glo-Worm Dell which we did and are glad he pointed them out. Parking space is a bit limited and you have to pay for the internet, but rooms have (ours did anyway) a jetted bathtub with shower that can run simultaneously. The room we had (I forget the number) had the bathroom right off the parking lot with a window. It was a little disconcerting when folks were going to their cars...

I don't know where the 4,5 star rating came from on TA, should have been a 6.
You can't find better then this. Fresh roses on the table and bedside chocolates. Boutique wine glasses. Hope nobody breaks them!

Booked here at the last minute to break up the trip between franz Josef and Christchurch. The room is modern comfortable and well set out. Kitchen fully self contained. Chose the spa room and was not disappointed. Would recommend. Only downfall is that it is not near the beach

The environment is excellent. The motel is small in scale but all are gorgeous. The host (Les and Maree) are very kind. I love to stay in this motel.
