We were there one night only, but it was a great place, very clean, close to walk to the beach and to the restaurant.

We pulled in to the Bella Vista Hokitika after a much longer day in the car than initially planned & were happy to find a clean, comfortable room with a good bed, spotless bathroom and the usual tidy facilities (fridge, microwave etc). We both wondered how well we would sleep with the milk tankers passing by on their way to the local dairy factory but it wasn't an issue - slept like logs. We accidentally left a pillow behind in the morning but Glenys caught up with us as we were driving off - thank you! We would definitely stay again.

We stayed at this hotel for two nights. Owners were very gracious and friendly. Rooms (we stayed in two different rooms) were clean and well appointed. We had a comfortable stay and slept great. Would gladly return to stay there in the future.

We stayed at 10 motels in NZ & this can be said of all of them: they are owner operated (not chains), spotlessly clean, contain refrigerator, microwave, TV, blow dryer, plenty of hot water & the beds are comfortable, but the rooms are on the small side. They have absolutely terrible in-room coffee. Expect to pay 30% more for comparable food & lodging than in the U.S.
Helpful staff in a new or near new facility.
