We stayed at the one bedroom appartment. The bedroom was spacius. There was another folding queen size bed at the living room which was pretty comfortable but left no space at the living room \ kitchen area. The apartment is 20 m away from the beach, which is really nice. The kids playground was in a good condition and safe.
The place is located just across the road from the glow worm cave which is beautiful.

We travelled from Christchurch to Greymouth by the TranzAlpine train, followed by our car hire drive down to Hokitika which we thought would be preferable to staying in Greymouth. Definitely recommend this option to others considering the same journey as the drive only took 30-45mins.

Our little beach chalet was great for our one night stop. The main bedroom was well appointed with a double and single bed, with wood cladding on the wall.

The second bedroom is actually the lounge, but it worked perfectly. The pull-down bed was a full double size and the bedding was comfortable.

The kitchen and bathroom were all well equipped and the whole place was spotlessly clean.

The chalet was literally right by the beach so it was great for an evening stroll.

There is plenty to do in Hokitika in the small town. We went to visit the Kiwis at the wildlife place and later in the evening went to the cinema (definitely worth a visit as the internal size and decor of the old building is beautiful.)

Overall we had a great stop here. I think my only problem was that I thought it would be more like a wooden chalet, whereas it's actually a modern pre-fab unit with wood cladding on the front and back. The sofa was also tiny and quite uncomfortable, so there wasn't really anywhere that we could all sit as a family and chat without two being on dining room chairs and two on the sofa, but for one night, we were all happy to head to bed for a good sleep anyway!

We stayed in the beach front motel chatels, and loved it, went for a nice evening walk down the beach, motel was clean and tidy. Would stay here again

lovely, clean, comfortable, private accommodation. Great for kids. 20 meters from the beach. Highly reccomended.
