“Clean and comfortable and well located”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 20 February 2011

Standard room was clean and comfortable with a double and single bed. The bathroom was spacious although did not include a bath. The room included a large screen television with various foxtel channels although reception quality was very mediocre with a grainy picture.

Furnishings were all modern and clean and there was minimal outside noise enabling sound quality sleep.

The hotel booklet provides numerous menus from nearby restaurants for takeaway to be delivered and booked against the room. The only point of corcern was the menu I selected from was out of date with the prices being more than shown and well over priced for what you receive. I would suggest purchasing any takeaway independent of the Motel to avoid any markup.

“More than a lodge, less than a hotel - just nice, good value”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 January 2011

Not expecting something fancy, we were surprised otherwise with this charming building and facilities. The hosts were nice, helpful and smooth during check in. It is like a lodge style accommodation, nothing very fancy but provide nice clean rooms, bathrooms, and linen/towels etc.

Well located, all the sights are close by and the balcony outside is a added bonus. There is also ample parking within the compound area in the middle, and what i really liked is they provide car washing facilities (which my car badly needed after all the long sandy desert drives)...a hose connected to water, brush, pail, soap, etc etc.

Good food is just a street behind, the lighthouse close by and also the dolphin lagoon.

Although we did not use it, i think there is a small swimming pool too within the lodge. Picturesque building, good value and comfortable stay is what you will certainly get in return for your cash. Recommend it.

“Gorgeous bit of luxury...Grittleton Lodge”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 November 2010

This is the second time my husband and I have stayed here. The reception staff are very friendly and helpful.
The Lodge is different to The Clifton. The Clifton is the motel section which is behind Grittleton Lodge. The Lodge has just 4 rooms, each one different and each one decorated in olde world charm. There are two lounge rooms, one downstairs and one upstairs which are for the exclusive use for only the guests in The Lodge. They are also beautifully decorated, and have complimentary sherry and port for guests.
Our room was spotless, there were bathrobes and a spa and a new flat screen tv. There was a small fridge, and tea and coffee making facilities.
There is a small swimming pool and BBQ for the use of guests.
The location is great and only a short walk to the beach or in to the Bunbury town to the shops, cafes and restaurants.

“Very Expensive for what it is”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed 1 October 2010

This hotel is old. Old but clean. It is a very expensive hotel for the services it offers. If i had my choice I would stay at the Lord Forest for the same price.

“Nice surprise for the price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 28 November 2009

I have stayed in Bunbury for business on many occasions however, this was my first time at the Clifton.

The front of the property is the old lodge, which is quite charming, and whilst the hotel/motel is a few years old it is clean and comfortable and great value for money. The room I had was spacious, clean and tidy. I had a flat screen TV and there was also a small mini bar. Breakfast is cheap and was a large serving.

The Clifton is in a great location sitting on the door step of the city centre and a stones throw to the beach.

Good price, great location and friendly staff. I will stay here again.

If you a looking to save a few pennies but still be in the heart on Bunbury then this is a great choice.
