While I agree with the other reviews about the truck noise - I'd say that applies to all motels in the area as they're all on the highway. It's not really a tourist town and customers tend to be staying for work reasons like myself. The rooms are a little cramped but again for a one night business road trip traveler like myself I don't need the space. After driving all day I need a quick & friendly check in, a shower with decent flow and plentiful hot water, a comfortable & clean bed and most of all decent food. Gipps gets a tick on all these and certainbly more so than the rest in Traralgon and I've stayed in them all. Most motels in the area don't do much more than snacks and those that do meals do them very very badly. Gipps has the best room service in the area by far. I'd maybe suggest some double glazing for the windows given the traffic noise but it really does apply to all motels on the Princes Hwy.
