“Swan Hill”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 7 February 2012

Left Albury via Rutherglen to get to Swan Hill. Located on the Murray - old steam boats typical old country town. 42 degrees. Arrived at the Best Western hot and tired. The room they had for us wasnt ready due to a plumbing problem. The hostess was extremely obliging and upgraded up to a better room. Older style motel room but spotlessly clean spacious and walking distance town. Good air conditioning, bed and bathroom.

Room Tip: Downstair rooms away from pool

“Great Place to Stay”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 13 January 2012

I stayed here for one night on the way through from Adelaide to Albury with my family. We stayed in a 2 bedroom spa room with 3 singles in one room and a queen in the entry room. Very spacious and clean with all of the usual hotel supplies. A great pool for the kids to swim in and very close to all of the shops & restaurants.

I think that the most memorable part of our stay was in fact the staff. Jeff at reception was very friendly and helpful and even made the effort to track me down to let me know that I had left my pillow behind. I am the sort of person who places customer service at the top of my list and for this reason alone I would definitely stay here again.

Room Tip: Get there early enough so that you can enjoy the pool.

“Great find”

We stayed in this Motel about a year ago and I can't tell you what an unexpected find it was. We stayed at the back of the building in a very spacious and clean room with a comfortable QS bed. We also had dinner as we arrived late and I had the best steak ever. The owners were very obliging and I am looking to stay there again this weekend if I can get in. I would say it is the only place to stay in Swan Hill as we have tried several other establishments and none are up to this one.

Room Tip: Try and get a room at the back of the building where you will not hear any traffic noise.

“Nice rooms, good value. Ask for the back away from road.”

I chose this hotel because it had good trip adviser reviews. The room was great for the money. When we arrived we were advised we had a front room. I asked to be moved to the back away from the traffic. The hotel is in 2 sections. The front near the main road would be noisy. Where we stayed at the back was quiet. So make sure you stay in the single storey part at the back like we did.

“Great motel!”

Stayed here for a night. Had no booking and just called on the day and got a room no problems. When i checked in the owner's were friendly which was great to see!

My room was up the top at the end. The only thing i will pick would be the stairs at the end were dark at night and it was difficult to see with no light. I almost tripped at the top. So this might be something that needs to be fixed with a few sensor lights.

Apart from that the room was clean and large. The amount of channels was great, even though i wasn't there much! Bed was great. Bathroom was old looking but clean. The pool looked nice and i wished i had time to jump in.

I would stay again for sure!
