“Pleasantly surprised. Great location.”

After reading some of the reviews here, I was somewhat dubious about staying, but our 3 day stay was great and we found none of the problems described by other travellers. From the time we arrived, the staff were very friendly and helpful. We stayed in the 2 bedroom apartment. The rooms were on the small side, but were clean and functional. Perfect for a short stay. The beds were comfortable and the kitchen had all the necessary equipment. The apartments are close to everything, minutes to Fitzroy st and Acland st. The pool was clean and the kids enjoyed it. Great to have the laundry in the apartment. Impossible to get parking on the street, so you need to book a car park. Would definitely stay again.

“Easy location, quiet, very helpful, just what we needed”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 January 2012

My son and I were in Australia for the Australian Open and the accommodations were exactly what we needed. The food prices were expensive for Americans like us and having the kitchen allowed us to pack our own food and freeze water bottles for the hot days. Plus, we were able to make our own breakfasts and dinners. There is a bakery not far where we bought bread everyday. There are grocery stores within walking distance. We also went to the beach and the Bayside Quest provided beach towels. The tram system is easy to use and a short walk. We initially booked a studio but upgraded to a 1-bedroom with a view of Melbourne. We opened the door in the morning for some fresh air. The front desk was always very helpful no matter the subject. They helped us book a tour to see the penguin parade.

Thank you for your kind review. We appreciate the positive feedback. Our staff are always willing to help our guests book tours, airport shuttle buses, taxis and so on. It sounds like you enjoyed your stay in St Kilda. We’re so fortunate to be in a location that allows easy access to the beach, great shops, restaurants and nightlife, and the trams for trips to events such as the Australian Open. We hope to see you again!

“Great location, wonderful friendly staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 25 January 2012

Stayed at the Bayside Quest with a girl friend and my two teenage daughters. The staff were so very helpful, nothing too much trouble, even supergluing a heel back on a shoe. Thanks guys. I will definately be back

Thank you for your great review. We look forward to accommodating you and your family again soon. Our staff are always willing to help when needed. I hope you were eventually able to have your shoe repaired to a higher standard than I was able to achieve with the superglue!

“Excellent location”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 23 January 2012

We stayed with our teenage resp. adult children for two nights in January in a 2-bedroom apartment and just liked it. Within a few minutes we were in the centre of St. Kilda, at the beach or at the tram station to the city. We liked it that the two bedrooms were separated by the living area. The twin beds were a bit small, though. We asked for a quiet room and got it, but the view was to the inner courtyard/carpark. That was a pity, as the front rooms had a lovely view to the trees of the nice street. All in all a good choice!

Thank you so much for your kind review. It is much appreciated. Just a note re the outlook. You obviously required a two bedroom apartment and none of our two bedroom apartments are across the front of the building, so we are unable to satisfy any requests for church/street views if you are in a two bedroom apartment.

Kind regards

Jenny

“Location, location and friendly staff”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 January 2012

I have stayed at Quest Bayside twice now and would recommend these apartments to anyone wanting to access the nightlife in St Kilda. The location is excellent with undercover parking for an extra $10 per day. If you are going to a concert at the Palais, this can't be beaten. A short walk to the venue and to a host of restaurants, cafes and bars, and the beach. But also in a quiet side street. The rooms are a bit dated but thee staff are the best. All in all a great place to stay.

Room Tip: Ground floor may be a bit noisier at peak times like holidays.

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. It is much appreciated. I can pretty well guarantee that next time you come back you will be pleasantly surprised. We are in the throes of organising a fairly extensive overhaul of our apartments and hope that it will be done before the middle of 2012.

Kind regards

Jenny
