I stayed at this hotel with my mother & daughter. We were given a family room which had a queen-sized bed & 3 singles. The room appeared to have been created by amalgamating two normal sized rooms together. In one corner there were tap outlets that had been covered (obviously a bathroom in a previous life) and in another corner was a bedhead big enough for a double but that was where 2 singles were. The powerpoints were few & far between & located in very awkward places. For example, the clock radio for the queen bed was plugged into an outlet approximately 3 feet from the bed. There was no desk in this room but there was a table smack in the middle with only 4 chairs (even though the room slept 5). Consequently, I had to run my laptop cable across the room creating a hazard. But this room is obviously not meant for business people so I can forgive that. The other strange thing re the powerpoints was there wasn't one where the kettle was located. Well...there was...but you had to sit the kettle on top of the microwave & you couldn't plug both in at the same time! There was also a toaster in the suite but again, you couldn't plug it & the kettle or the microwave in all together without unplugging the TV & then you were still 1 outlet short.
The room itself was clean as was the bathroom. There was no hooks at all in the bathroom although there was evidence of one previously being on the back of the door. So clothes had to be placed either on the closed toilet or hung on the floor! The bathroom was huge but didn't have a lot of storage space.
The hotel has a pool but as it was raining cats & dogs for our entire stay, we didn't use it. It had no covered area so had my daughter decided to swim, there would have been nowhere for me to sit & stay out of the rain.
We had breakfast at this hotel & it was very good. Beautiful bacon & lovely eggs....the toast you cook yourself using the abovementioned toaster so that was good. The breakfast is inserted into a cupboard from the outside so you don't have to open the door & expose yourself to anyone.
All in all, a good stay in a huge clean room. I'm not sure how big the other rooms were but I had a peep inside the one next door & it looked tiny!
