Despite not having a booking (either they lost my booking or I forgot to make one!) they were able to accommodate us with 2 executive rooms. By the car count outside the rooms later in evening, we were fortunate to have arrived fairly early as they appeared to be close to full.
The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable and comprised of queen beds, very large flat screen mounted tv, spa bath (lovely), and excellent A/C (we needed it as it was 43degC and still 41deg at 8pm!) plus all the usual furnishings/tea & coffee facilities/toiletries. The rooms also had the local paper in each which was an interesting read.
We cooled off in the small but clean and inviting pool which we had to ourselves.
Usually breakfast is an option of in-room or restaurant buffet however the restaurant was closed during the day (I think for the extended holiday period) so it was in-room only. Good choice of breakfasts and great quality. Victorian newspapers available for purchase.
We dined at the RSL half a block away - good food, good price, just lacking a little in atmosphere.
Staff were very friendly. Overall it was more than adequate for two business people working away but I'd equally recommend it for anyone passing through Shepparton.
