we stayed there in our van its a small park( not a lot of room)now my laugh is loud had no idea it was past 10pm owner came out like a bull at a gate at me ( i thought he was going to hit me) to be fair he didnt but he should get some people skills he is awfull...didnt have a prob with what he was on about but how he went about it he is a bully so beware.also cant make noise past 10 but ok to make lot a noise from 4.30 am if you are leaving go figure?

My wife and I together with my wife's cousin and his wife stayed at Calder Caravan Park
in our own caravans and I can only say that the Park is a top rated park, in my opinion,
it was kept spotlessly clean, the owners worked their butts off trying to make the guests feel welcome with cheese and wine evenings and a barbecue day. We found the owners very attentive and they were quite concerned when we all went to Broken Hill and stayed overnight without notifying the office that we would be away for the night, that was silly on our part and no doubt caused some anxiety for the owners. We would certainly want to stay at the Calder C/van park should we again go to Mildura. P&B,Melbourne,Vic

From the moment we arrived we were greeted with a happy smile behind the desk and nothing seemed to be to much trouble. After traveling around for the last couple of months with two small children my husband and I were very happy with the service we got when we arrived.
We checked in to the cabin and it was neat and clean which needless to say through our travels we have seen a few that are not!!
I find it very distribing to read a review on this site put on there by a person who says they were not happy. each to their own but from what i noticed in the duration of our stay was the people running the park were always busy keeping things clean and tidy around the park, and always polite and helpful when required...
As this person stated in the review they( if it was the same people) were asked to leave the pool area as we felt very intimidated by the way these people were carring on with the language and also the rough behaviour in the pool. we did not feel that our children were safe. From what we saw the gentleman quitley asked them to leave i am assuming as he did not make a scene and we never heared what was said, so i doubt it was as stated.
As stated the noise was a problem, yet caused by these people in the park and i felt they needed to be asked to tone it down, which after the security guard came in around midnight the noise did cease.
As i said before each to their own but i really feel that after i found this park as good as i did, i find it hard to believe someone else can have a completley different side, in fact so different it is really hard to believe.
I urge any one to try this park as it is very professionally run and would go back again in a heart beat...

Well i have finally found this site that has a review of the Calder Caravan Park. i would to let anyone ,who reads review that what is written about the Calder Caravan Park is totally without foundation and nothing, but a pack of lies. I know because i was staying there 3 sites down from these people ,that the managers asked to leave his primises. and i was very happy that he did ask them to leave as we were intimated by there group of 18 people sitting around drinking from approx 2 in the afternoon and we very pleased that the security guards came and spoke to them at 11.45 at night, not 10.00 as they stated. they had no respect for others in the park and yes they did come and ask us the next day if we objected to them drinking and yes we did so no, we didn't . but, we felt that if we had said yes, they might have reacted to us. we do stay regulary at the park (3-4 times a year) and have stayed in their cabins, and we have never had any complaints, and i must say that if i went into a cabin and all those things that these people say were right, why stay would you stay there for 5 mins , let alone 2 days. i am very glad the managers had these people removed, and i feel very sorry for the managers that such a bad review was written about them, when all they were doing is ensuring that, that those who stay in their park are looked after and enjoy our time there. we have and will still continue to say at the Calder Caravan Park, because we are very well treated there and enjoy our stays. As for the people that were removed, you have no repsect for others and deserved to be removed.
