“Close quarters to other units and neighboring campground”

The unit was clean and spacious with a generously sized kitchen including a full size refrigerator and dining table and chairs. The other units were very near however with little privacy. Just behind our unit was the campground which was packed and quite noisy (baby crying) all night. Kickback cottages met our needs and at a less busy time of year I'm sure it would offer more quiet and privacy. For this trip, I wish we had stayed on the Esplanade with a view of the water.

Unfortunately I wasn't made aware of a young child crying, not that I could have probably done anything about it, but, the location of this property is excellent as we are one street back from the Esplanade and 1 block from shops, supermarket, cafes etc;, so really can't understand how the location was rated at 2, as everything is within a short walk, especially to the water. All of our cottages are free standing with a car park, so once again I don't understand the close quarters to other units, as compared to other property's because there is a reasonably distance between all of them. Like most accommodation property's in Lakes Entrance whether along the Esplanade or in Roadknight Street, properties ajoin each other.
Kickback is rated 3 Star and priced accordingly. It does offer newly renovated cottages which are comfortably appointed making it great value for money.
