Stayed there earlier this year & would not bother again. When we asked for extra towels (the ones supplied are straight out of a discount store, old, tired & thin) we were asked what we wanted them for. The whole place is down at heel, and really does not deserve a three star rating.

We paid $110 plus a Wotif booking fee for a standard room. A breakfast pack for 2 was included. This place is clean,its quiet and handy to the restaurants and shops are only a few minutes away on foot. Its not noisy and the beds are comfortable- It has a restaurant in the motel with fair prices and a reasonable wine list at fair prices. We found this to be a good place to stay after a long drive and the reception was helpful. I think 7/10 for this place for what we paid. There are more expensive rooms availble if required but our room was fine.

We stopped off at the Banjo Patterson on a drive from Wilsoms Prom to Merimbula to break up the journey as we had our 17 month old daughter with us. The hotel is clean and tidy but very basic and I thought the four star rating on the website was pushing it a bit. The staff were friendly and very helpful the rooms small and a little worn. One word of warning we made the mistake of eating at "Clancys" which must go down as one of the worst meals of my life. Having beautiful fresh fish and seafood on their doorstep then covering it a in thick batter and what looked and tasted like brown sauce on the Oysters Kilpatrick was a crime against food. If you need a stopover the Banjo patterson is fine otherwise dont expect any more.

Our 2nd floor room was clean and comfortable and from the balcony we had a great view of the lake and fishing boats opposite. The motel's "Clancy's" restaurant wasn't open when we stayed here, but not to worry, the RSL Club is only a short walk up the street and offers a good variety of well-priced meals. The walk along the waterfront opposite the motel is picturesque and the wood sculptures dedicated to the WWI veterans are amazing. The motel room was quite big and had all we needed and at $130 was good value for what we got. There's free parking, however having a room on the 2nd floor meant climbing a lot of stairs every time we left the room, but we'd definitely recommend this hotel and stay here again if in Lakes Entrance.
