Fairly average standard budget motel. There was not anything particularly special about the place but adequate for an overnight stop.

Being next door to a Best Western, which have a global policy not to charge for internet access, I was surprised to be informed that they would normally charge $12 a night for this but the service was not available.

When we booked out we discovered that they served breakfast but we were given no information on this when booking in!

Sadly we never got to see whether this was a nice place to stay but my advice is that if booking through Wotif, you only book this place if you can be 100% sure you can use it. My Mum died unexpectedly 4 days before we were to fly from New Zealand to Australia for our little break. Despite immediately contacting the hotel I discovered we would lose more than half of what we had paid as a cancellation fee. Wotif tried on our behalf but it seems that for a full refund my Mum needed to have died 7 days before our planned travel. The hotel offered to hold what we had paid as a credit for 3 months. Hello! We also lost our flights when we had to cancel so would have to buy new flights to use the accommodation. I fully accept that assuming the normal 48hr cancellation period would apply was our error, but we didn’t just change our minds about not travelling. We would have hoped for a little more compassion. When we finally do visit Lakes Entrance it will be in a different hotel.

We stayed in a ground floor, two bedroom apartment facing the North Arm Lake, at the rear of this apartment/motel complex. We had taken my wife's elderly mother for a trip to Lakes Entrance and found this two bedroom apartment to be just great. It was well situated with views of the North Arm Lake, across a pool, road and park, it was quiet, spacious, had two seperate bedrooms, a well appointed kitchen for self catering, a bathroom with both a shower and a bath, a seperate toilet and a washing machine and clothes drier. The beds were good and comfortable. We received clean towels every day. My mother in law could comfortably walk down with us to catch the boat for a cruise around the lakes. Like other people on this site we found receptionist Penny to be very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed our stay at the Comfort Inn & Suites Emmanuel, and will stay again on our next visit.

Wasn't expecting much as the place was quiet cheap, but was pleasantly suprised. Queen deluxe room had a soft refurb in the last few years, was a funky and comfortable mix of the old and new. Service was great - fresh milk and biccies bought to the room soon after we arrived. Great ammenties with a pool and laundry room on site. Breakfast was plain but home Cooked and good value.
