This was our first trip to Horsham, and while we were only stopping overnight en-route to South Australia we had allocated enough time to explore Horsham and wanted a quality base. We were very pleased we chose May Park. Although we only had a Studio Apartment the size and quality of the room exceeded our expectations. There was a large and comfortable bed, a desk area, a lounge area with a coffee table and small dining table, and a small kitchen galley in which you could certainly have prepared a basic meal. The bathroom/laundry was also roomy. The room decor was modern, fresh and clean, and the inroom bar/snack selection was very reasonably priced. Parking was adjacent to the room. While the apartments are near a relatively busy road (but NOT the main road by any means) the room had double glazed windows and blockout curtains and was very quiet. We received a very friendly greeting and lots of good advice about where to dine that night. The apartments were close to the town centre (much better located than the new Quest apartments which we noticed are on the main road and out of town), near an attractive park, and just around the corner form the Horsham Sports Club where we enjoyed a homely country-style dinner at a bargain price. We stayed in three towns during our road trip and this was by far the best experience we had. Highly recommended and so much nicer than a traditional hotel. Sadly Horsham experienced severe flooding not long after our visit, and we send our thoughts to all the residents of this charming country centre!
