This was our second stay at the Rose Garden Motel and like before, we had no prior booking. However this time there was only a spa room available and as it was late in the afternoon (we'd been on the road since 6.30am) we took it but at $180 for the night, thought it to be rather expensive! Yes, it was clean, quiet and comfortable but other than the spa and bigger size, the room was pretty much like the standard room we'd stayed in before. During the night there was a storm so my husband was grateful the $180 included undercover parking. The motel's biggest assets are it's owners and it's location. It's just out of the city centre but still close enough to get to everything and the RSL is just a walk away for good, reasonably priced meals. The motel owners were very helpful when we realised a day after leaving that we'd left our thermos flask behind in the room. A quick phone call and they held it for us until our return trip some days later. The Rose Garden Motel is our first choice of stay when in Geelong, however that would be for a standard room .. the spa room isn't worth the extra.

The exterior looks much like a typical Australian motel, but inside the rooms are modern, stylish, comfortable and immaculate. A very restful, quiet, and peaceful evening. Also, very close to Geelong High Street, with numerous restaurants. They do not offer wifi, although you can connect to a LAN cable if you have a laptop. For iPad users that does not work so well.

excellent standard of accommodation - spacious, clean, free internet, patio and adjacent parking. large bathroom with spa bath. good fridge but only a standard microwave; might have liked a hotplate or small oven. also would have liked an extra set of cutlery and plates.

Lovely place, clean, neat & very comfortable. A really friendly helpful owner. All positives
