Had the 'family room' which comprised a queen size bed in the main area along with a pull-out sofa bed, and a separate room with two single beds. The main room had a large tv (that could play video files off a usb key), a smaller (older/not as smart) tv in the separate room. The bathroom seemed to have been refreshed relatively recently, and had a small bath perfect for kids, as well as a separate shower with good water pressure. All rooms faced into the central garden & pool area, not taking advantage of the view of the water but also providing some protection from noise from the road....
Overall a good motel. Areas for improvement would be - although water pressure was good, the shower head was low (I'm faily tall though) and temperature variable.. entrance to the bathroom had a metal strip due to the tiles being raised compared to the carpet - the strip was the wrong sort for the purpose and quite high & sharp, and was easy to trip on.... on arrival the room reeked from a deodoriser plugged into a powerpoint.... seemed to be short on pillows, but assume we could have called for more if we needed them... would note that when we were there, there seemed to be a *lot* of smokers, but of course that's not the fault of the motel!
Had dinner there - the kid menu was good, and service excellent... Coopers beer was nice and cold, and the adult meals all sounded interesting but sadly didn't quite live up to the descriptions.... close, good - not bad - but missing something.... pork belly with crispy skin that wasn't crispy.... didn't bother with breakfast the following morning - assume it would have been ok, but went into the main drag and had breakfast there instead.
