“Great Stay”

There were 4 adults who stayed in a very comfortable family room. We had a very pleasant 3-day stay. This hotel is near to Sovereign Hill and the centre of Ballarat. The room was clean and quiet with a continental breakfast included in the price. On site, the Red Lion Restaruant offered very good food at competitive rates. You could even charge meals to your room, which was very convenient. The staff were friendly and the internet was great --- $5/24hrs. That's $5 for 24 hours of internet time, if you log off, it stops counting and you can restart later. There's even a free laundry and drying facility for guests to use, including free detergent. That was fantastic! They also have a free games room and fitness centre including an indoor heated pool. The only negative is the parking situation. It is free and there are plenty of spots but to get to them there is a very tight choke point. Getting out is a little tricky too if there are any cars parked in front of the Red Lion, making it very difficult to see oncoming traffic. Other than that, the Sovereign Park Motor Inn was fantastic and we would stay there again.

“Fantastic Stay”

I couldnt fault the stay here
The reception staff were very welcoming and friendly
We stayed in a family room which had a queen bed and a single bed and was very well laid out. For longer stays they also have 2 bedroom apartments.
For a motel the rooms were modern and the beds were very comfortable
The boys loved the indoor heated pool and spa area, great after a long day at sovereign hill.
The onsite Red Lion Cafe had fantastic food and an undercover playground which is a godsend when dining with a 4yo. You can also have any of the meals there sent as room service for only $3 for the whole order more which I think is fantastic when travelling with small tired children.
They included 3 free new release movie channels which my son enjoyed watching Where the Wild Things are on
Also they include a free continental breakfast of cereal, toast and juice
Was almost disappointed we were only there for the night, could have easily stayed on.
Thank You Sovereign Park Motor inn for a fantastic stay!

Handy to everything. Not overly new but comfortable, friendly staff, all amenities and had Red Lion Hotel adjacent. Would recommend if not looking for Palazzo Verace

“great location”

We stayed in "Executive Family room" purchased off Wotif.com. I did have trouble finding a room with a bath as we have 2 small children. For a price of almost $200 I guess I expected more - the room was quite small with 1 queen bed, 1 single and 1 sofa bed. The problem was that once the sofa bed was set up there you had to climb over it to get to the single bed in the corner. The bathroom was a decent size with a spa bath, but the shower was simply in the corner of the room with walls on 2 sides and no door. Separate toilet but couldn't wash hands if someone was in the shower. There was no where else to go once the kids were in bed - couldn't watch tv or even talk because you are right next to their beds and may wake them. Motel type set up with rooms with car park space right outside your door. Our room was as far away from the pool as you could be - had to walk through car park and in full view of all rooms to get there and back. Pool was small but kids enjoyed heated spa.
Overall, good for a one night stay but wouldn't choose it for longer unless you like going to bed when your kids do!
