Stayed for 2 nights on a golf trip. Had a king size bed, spa, and in room toaster. Perfect for the early morning starts! Although on a main road we could not hear the traffic (I think the windows were sound proof or double sealed).
Slept well. Unfortunately I didnt do well at golf but found a gem of a place to stay in Ballarat!

This is a top motel. Modern ultra clean large rooms with big tv's and free Internet. Also has a great restaurant / pub right next door.

I stayed in a two bedroom apartment on a business trip. It was clean, well equipped and functional.
One room was very large with a queen bed. The other room was quite small with two single beds. There were electric blankets and comfortable pillows.
The apartment had a well equipped functional kitchen and a decent size living area. There was a flat screen television with a couple of Austar channels (sport/movies).
There was one bathroom with a nice, large shower. A small, adequate selection of amenities was included.
Wireless internet access was $5/day.
Overall, the Lake Inn is a good choice for a short or longer term stay in Ballarat.

Rooms are spacious, and very clean and tidy, although no hot water in the morning, Really put a dampener on the whole weekend.
