Had a great nights stay, friendly staff, large rooms with foxtel and free wireless internet, which was quick and easy to access.
Had a great Eye Fillet in the restaurant for dinner and the prices were very reasonable, especially for a motel restaurant.

My partner and I stayed one night at the Barkly motor lodge, it was a surprise for me, from him, it was also meant to be a very special night. He asked and payed $145 for a room with a spa bath. we realised the spa bath did not work and went and spoke to staff, they said they would refund full price to us in the morning, so we stayed there any way. That night the smoke alarm beeped almost every 20seconds, this was a little frustrating, because we had got away from home to relax. In the morning my partner went to get our refund and they said they would charge the price of a room with out a spa bath. I later on found out that price of a normal room was $115. we only got $15 back from $145 which means we were over charged still. I called up and said we were over charged and that it was up setting to me. My partner was up set as well because he wanted the night to be perfect, for us. When i was calling up the man i spoke to was rude and told me it wasn't his problem, so i will always tell people about my experience because it could happen to anyone and luckily it wasn't our wedding night.

The service in this Motor Lodge in more like a 5 star hotel. Apparently there are new owners that have recently taken over and they are doing a terrific job. While the rooms need an update, they are very clean and comfortable. Location is first rate with a short walk to the Bridge St Mall. The restaurant is the clincher. The service and food at dinner was fantastic and totally unexpected. Nothing seems to be too much trouble. I'll definately be making this motel my prefered in Ballarat.

Arrived late on our return leg of the journey for 2 nights. The front office staff arranged a late check in which was greatly appreciated. Off street parking which is great as we don't like parking on the street. Breakfast was the best we have had the whole trip: hubby highly recommends the Big Breakfast. Property is close enough for a stroll to the shops for me and the kids went to the park with dad.
Amazing $14 lunch deal. Walked to Soverign Hill for the afternoon.
Relaxed in the room that evening and ordered room service, watched a movie on Austar.
Great night sleep both nights, best location and restaurant menu delicious.
Highly Recommend and will come again
