This hotel accepted our booking for two adults and an infant. Upon checkout the next morning, they charged us the full rate for three adults, arguing that we should have booked a four person room.

1. We took our one year old daughter's porta cot, as she is too young for a bed; therefore there was no need to book a larger room

2. The hotel website made no mention of any extra charge for infants, and still does not.

3. The manager swore at us, threatened to call the police and shouted at us, prompting me to take the baby out, as she was becoming upset.

We will not return to a hotel run by such dishonest management.

Down the Street From Sovereign Hill!

Yes it is and you can walk to it from the motel. Sovereign Hill for me wasn't interesting(that's another story), but I stayed here for 3 nights and had a great stay. Rooms were very clean and spacious. The indoor pool was small, but nice to have. On my arrival at 9pm the first night, I ate in the restaurant and it was quite good. I didn't have any problems with noise at all and slept well. If I needed to stay in Ballarat again, I would not hesistate to stay here.
